Weeping Sun

For their exhibition Weeping Sun, Romy Texier and Valentin Vie Binet have developed an urban plant ecosystem, concrete Eden, for Sainte Anne Gallery. Inspired by weeds, or more precisely by those resilient plants that manage to grow through the asphalt, the duo presents a new series of hybrid sculptures, between living organisms and architectural structures.

Weeping Sun is conceived in parallel with a fictional work by Mathieu Buard, curator and contemporary art critic, which is being written simultaneously with the making of the works.
